Amanda Stout, DVM

Dr. Stout grew up on Dunkerton, Iowa hobby farm and wanted to be a veterinarian from an early age.  She graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science.  Dr. Stout then attended Iowa State University and in 2014 was awarded her DVM.  Dr. Stout began her career in Baldwin, Wisconsin working in a mixed animal practice.  Dr. Stout joined the Cedar Rapids Animal Hospital in the spring of 2017.  She enjoys internal medicine cases, radiology and has enjoyed building relationships with clients. 

Dr. Stout and her husband Josh share their home with two dogs, Ty and Casper and one cat Furrari.  In her spare time, Dr. Stout enjoys being outdoors-- especially hiking and kayaking, cooking, and reading.  She plays the piano and is starting to learn the mandolin.
